Brad Ryal & Hell Ranch
As a Writer and extreme Horror buff/Fanatic, whatever you want to call
it, I have always wanted to create a story that was truly terrifying! To be
honest I wasn't a horror fan until I saw the original "Child's Play", I
thought the idea of a killer doll was great! I never had a sister to chase
around breaking heads off her dolls, I grew up with two brothers that
had way different likes and dislikes. When I saw "Chucky" on that screen
I thought "The creator of this is brilliant!". I began to study and research
the world of horror in film. It took me 24 years to watch the original
"Exorcist." It's funny because when I did see it to find out what the hype
was about, I didn't find it scary at all. I want to become the new face of
fear when it comes to horror in cinema.
One day I was researching locations in the high desert
areas in Southern California. I had Googled where the
film "Tremors" was shot and found an article from
Author and Paranormal Investigator Cindy Ackley
Nunn. I found the article very intriguing and decided to
contact her. Shortly after I was invited to attend a
paranormal investigation at a ghost ranch in the Simi
Valley area. Of course I wouldn't have missed that
opportunity for anything so I met her and some of her
crew. That evening, while walking around the ranch
and attempting communication with some of the
spirits everything around me said "You gotta make a
movie here, it's too perfect to pass up". I never did
mention I had any ideas until the following day when I
thanked Cindy and her crew for the invite, she had
mentioned to me I should put on my creative cap and
make some horror magic with the area. I told her she
had read my mind, I had already actually contacted a
few Producers I work with about my idea and they
were on board immediately! HELL RANCH is Coming
folks, and it's not for the weak at heart!
