Bronwyn Joslyn and Stephanie Willey – Environmental Education in Early Childhood
(EEEC)
This interactive workshop aims to discuss education for sustainability and how it can be
embedded into daily practices and the learning environment. Participants will be asked
to challenge and reflect on ideas of design and what is meant by the term respectful
environments for successful curriculum.

theory and benefits of increasing children’s connections with nature.
Completing ‘Where Nature Waits Outside the Gate: Adventures in
Nature Pedagogy’ will contribute 8 hours of NESA registered PD
addressing 2.1.2, 3.7.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional
Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher

way in which philosophy guides actions and ensures it is inclusive of ‘Education for
Sustainability’.
