KU Children’s Services’ Annual Conference has been running for over three decades
and attracts renowned speakers in early childhood, including thought leaders, policy
makers and academic researchers.
The 2017 Annual Conference will feature keynote speakers Gunilla Dahlberg
(Sweden) and Dr Robyn Dolby (Australia), alongside a program of highly regarded
speakers.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
GUNILLA DAHLBERG (SWEDEN)
Gunilla Dahlberg is a Professor Emerita of Education at Stockholm University,
Department of Child and Youth Studies. Gunilla has served on many
curriculum committees, and was one of the experts engaged in writing the first
national curriculum for the Swedish preschool system. For thirty years Gunilla has
also carried out research in close cooperation with the preschools in the city of
Reggio Emilia, Italy, and she is a member of the scientific board of ‘Fondazione
Reggio Children, Centro Loris Malaguzzi.’ Gunilla is co-author of Beyond Quality
in Early Childhood Education and Care, and Ethics and Politics in Early Childhood
Education, and co-editor of the series, Contesting Early Childhood Education.
DR. ROBYN DOLBY (AUSTRALIA)
Dr Robyn Dolby is a psychologist who has worked in the field of Infant Mental
Health for thirty-five years. Between 2000 – 2011 she co-ordinated the project
called “Attachment Matters – from relationships to learning”, an attachment-based
intervention in a preschool. From this project Robyn has written the booklets, The
Circle of Security: Roadmap to Building Supportive Relationships; About Bullying;
Promoting Positive Behaviour; and Secure Transitions: Supporting Children to Feel
Secure, Confident and Included, published by Early Childhood Australia.
KU Annual Conference Melbourne 2017 – Relationships, Resilience and Risk will
