INVESTING IN OUR FUTURE
KU has refocussed and increased its
research ventures in order to build
on the current body of knowledge
that influences the way in which
we apply and engage with early
childhood education practices. This
has led to the successful completion
of the Leadership in KU Research
Project, and the KU Starting Points
Research Project in 2019. These
comprehensive research projects
were designed to create a collection
of new information and data that
will benefit staff, contribute to
increasing capabilities and reinforce
our already strong, sustainable
business model.
KU continues to expand its
development of important resources
to keep abreast of issues in the sector
and provide in-depth information
to guide and inform early education
practices. In 2019, KU developed
and launched the Child Safe in
Practice resource to enhance the
organisation’s ability to protect the
safety and wellbeing of all children
in our care. Additional resources will
continue to be developed, including
the Child Safe Framework and
documents required to meet the Child
Safe Standards, to underpin KU’s
position as a Child Safe organisation.
With our ongoing commitment to
research, and refining and creating
further professional development
programs and other resources, we
are investing in developing our body
of knowledge and contributing to
the evidence base guiding early
education practices, therefore
building a sustainable KU for
generations to come.
