A formal reception was also held at Government House, Sydney, where sector luminaries, key partners and political leaders acknowledged and honoured KU’s contribution and achievements. Preparations for the 120th anniversary uncovered many treasures, including a wealth of beautiful images and stories from more than a century of teaching, learning, courage and innovation. Many of these treasures have not been shared publicly before. A unique photographic exhibition utilising multiplatform storytelling and mobile accessible webbased content was also produced, and will tour a variety of public locations around the country over the coming year. ‘As the twig bends...’ is available through KU’s online store, along with a number of other limited edition 120 Years commemorative items and keepsakes. To showcase some of these findings, KU commissioned a commemorative pictorial book ‘As the twig bends: 120 Years of early education’.
