OUR REACH IN 2013 KU at a glance KU FAMILY 15,128 168 13,502 566 children participated in KU services and programs. families chose KU for their children’s early childhood education. 6,279 members played an important role in KU’s structures of governance as a not for profit organisation. 2,027 staff helped us make the KU Difference for Australian children. 78 children received specialist speech pathology assessments through KU services. 118th Annual Report 2013 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children accessed early childhood education through KU services. families increased their child’s engagement with the community through KU Family Programs. 185 children received additional early language and literacy support through the KU ELLI project. 1,784 children from refugee and new migrant families began their Australian early childhood education and care with the help of KU’s Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP).
