The Female Foeticide Scourge

or more than a decade considerable concern has
been expressed over the prevalence of female foe
ticide in India. Female foeticide along with its allied
practice of female infanticide is a social scourge that
should be eliminated. However, success on this front has
been negligible.
It is worthwhile asking why this scourge persists despite
