Landscape of the Basque Country
Rut and I really enjoyed the week we spent together in my village , Basauri and the city of Bilbao . She said that there were a lot of things to see and do in the Basque Country . She really liked the beautiful landscapes of our country with the high mountains and hills . For her , one of the most interesting places in Basauri was Basauri ’ s Ariz tower , next to my house . She also liked the river and Bizkotxalde park . On Saturday we went to the Holli festival in Bolueta . She didn ’ t like Bolueta neighbourhood although we had great fun at the festival . On Sunday , we visited San Juan de Gaztelugatxe ’ s old church . It was a sunny day and we had lunch at a close restaurant with Maria , Jone and their German students . There were also our parents with us . After having lunch we climbed up the 241 steps to arrive to the church . It was quite tiring but the landscape was amazing .
