Kappa is a series of vases in different sizes and executions by Mimmi Blomqvist for Kosta Boda . The series is mouth-blown into shape and is named after the bubble , or cap , that rises over the edge of the mold during manufacture . It is also this cap that has inspired the beautiful , billowing shape of the vases . The collection includes multiple styles , sizes and colors including a selection offered in circular glass produced from waste glass at Kosta Glassworks resulting in a unique coloration – shades from blue to green – for each object .

Kappa was launched in 2021 and is both a tribute to the artisanal history of glass and designed for a sustainable future .
