Fars Glas – Swedish for father ’ s glass – is today something of a cult classic . Small wonder , as its designer Erik Höglund is considered one of the industry greats of the last century . Starting his professional career at Boda glassworks in the early fifties , he was a key figure in ushering in a new era and form in Swedish design . Apart from Höglund ’ s expertise in glass , he was also active as a painter , sculptor , and graphic artist .
