Golden Angel was made with inspiration from Kjell Engman’ s bathing ladies, which have the same full-bodied shape and are modeled after gospel singers he saw performing while traveling in the US. Golden Angel watches over the ladies as they take a dip in the morning darkness – a lovely, thoughtful gift and a wish for happiness. This item from Kosta Boda Artist Collection is pressed in a mold at Kosta Glassworks. The sandblasted wings are cut on, and the body, which is hand-painted in real 24 karat gold, stands on a glass foot casted in a mold.
