A rebellious take with ancient roots, the Rocky Baroque series by Hanna Hansdotter and Kosta Boda is a playful remix of the classical column. Monumental contours clash with raw, jagged surfaces in this series of candlesticks and vases. Vibrant colors mix with unyielding shapes, and the product resides in the borderlands between sculpture and utility object, a recurring theme in Hanna Hansdotter’ s design. Humor and irony are other tools used to interpret and challenge authoritarian principles. The result is its own genre – Rocky Baroque.

Following the initial launch of the candlestick category and the bigger 350mm vase, the series has now been extended to include an smaller vase measuring 250mm but just as exceptional.
