“ Everything began with the glowing , growing bubble that I saw so often at the glassblowing studio next door to my atelier . As an early Christmas present , I had the opportunity to try glass design myself . Once there , my mind wandered on from the glowing bubble to nature ’ s effervescent fractals . A foamy river , frog eggs and berries . The process guided the shape . By adding small bubbles of warm glass to the simple bubble , several times , the shape of a ripe berry is created .” – Ellen Ehk Åkesson
