The Shops at The Corning Museum of Glass Set to Host World- Renowned Glassmaker Bertil Vallien in Celebration of 60 Years of the Artist ’ s Work .
Corning Museum is delighted to invite to a sparkling celebration of the 60-year legacy of innovation and artistry of the incomparable Bertil Vallien . The art installation will give an intimate peek into Bertil ' s world , as the world-renowned glass master and designer visits the Museum from Kosta , Sweden .
The special two-day appearance will begin with a special Connected by Glass lecture by the artist held for 500 people , and reveal of Passing Through , the largest collection of Bertil Vallien ’ s iconic designs in the United States . Bertil will share insights on his career and inspiration while Corning ' s talented Hot Glass Team makes some of his most famous work in the Museum ’ s Amphitheater Hot Shop .
After the lecture , there will be opportunity for an intimate conversation with Bertil over an exclusive dinner in the Museum ’ s Admissions Lobby before exploring Passing Through in The Shops .
