" Glass has a process and a pace that attracts me . It is intense , demanding attention , and cooperation is essential . I am a trained glassblower in a place that is marked by a historic glass industry , and my role as a glassblower is central to my process . With arts and crafts as a method , the opportunity is given for the closeness to the craft as well as a questioning of norms concerning objects and aesthetics . I often move in the borderland between function and sculpture . Working with design provides an opportunity to influence our relationship with the object and how we socialize around it .”
