an initial public offering, and created a

During that fast-paced time, it was our
founders’ vision and commitment to
making the company successful that
built Kosmos into a premier exploration
and production company. When Brian
Maxted approached the board of directors last year to suggest that he focus
full-time on the role of chief exploration
officer, he demonstrated true leadership
in knowing where he could best use his
talents to create the most value for
shareholders.
I share the same commitment to making
the company successful. I joined Kosmos in March with the belief that our
future is bright, our strategy is sound,
and our assets are among the best in
the world. We have the people, processes and technical skill needed to gain a
first-mover advantage in new and under-explored areas along the Atlantic
