About speaker: Ellen Park is currently serving as a principal at Cedarlane Academy, a K-8
school in Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. This is her 31 st year as an educator
having served in HLPUSD for the last ten years as a principal and LAUSD for 21 years as an
administrator, bilingual coordinator and bilingual classroom teacher. She is actively
involved as a leader in the community as well. Some of her current leadership activities
include Co-President, Conference Chair and Workshop Presenter for the International
Korean Educators Network and Executive Board Member of the Korean-American
Federation of Eastern L.A. from 2008-Present. She received the Pestalozzi Administrator’s
Award in 2008 from the Korean-American Educator’s Research Center, Los Angeles. Ellen
was the only educator to be invited to volunteer at the G20 Summit in Seoul, Korea.
