About speaker: Susie Woo is assistant professor of American Studies at California State
University, Fullerton. She received her MA in Asian American Studies from UCLA and PhD in
American Studies from Yale. Her current book project examines the immigration of Korean War
adoptees and military brides who came to the United States in the 1950s and 1960s.
