About facilitator: Elena Paul is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Birmingham
Community Charter complex. Previously, she was an executive director, instructional director,
high school principal, assistant principal, college counselor, coordinator, and a teacher. Mrs. Paul
is highly respected for her in-depth knowledge of college and career pathways, curriculum,
instruction, and assessments. As an instructor, she has taught all levels of English, art,
counseling, and leadership in K-12, community colleges, and four year higher education
institutions.
