This weekly Torah commentary written by people 65 + for that same audience, includes Divrei Torah from many people connected to AJR, including alumni, staff, and board members.

Dr. Yakir Englander, Faculty Member accepted as one of the four new fellows in the Elson Israel Fellowship for 2026 – 2027 accepted into Clal’ s inaugural cohort of The Wisdom Daily Writers Circle fellowship and is proud to share two of his articles here entitled:“ I Was Excommunicated for Asking Questions. Rabbi Margaret Frisch Klein( 2010) renewed her contract at Congregation Kneseth Israel, Elgin, IL until June 30, 2032. recently read part of the Declaration of Independence on July 8, 2026 at the Elgin History Museum with 18 other readers as part of a national celebration. The Declaration was originally read on July 8, 1776.

Hazzan Natasha Hirschhorn( 1999) received the Yovel Award for Jewish Music Composition, part of the 2026 Dr. Jack Gottlieb Jewish Music Studies Endowment Fund for Composition. This honor, awarded by the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at HUC, recognizes an established artist whose work has made a lasting contribution to the field of Jewish Music.
