Our Youth Programs Savio Fernandes Youth Director Savio Fernandes, State Youth Director Free Throw, Soccer Challenge, Substance Abuse Poster Contest, Essay Contest. Hi Brothers, Thank you for promoting our Youth Programs in Ontario during this fraternal year. Despite the frigid winter weather we had across Ontario this year, we had high participation from our councils, districts and regional levels for the Free Throw Competition. This would not have been possible without the hard work of our members, Grand Knights, District Deputies, Regional Chairmen and their teams. Tracking the progress of the Soccer Competition has been challenging, as we have not received all the participation forms. We encourage councils to submit the forms, so that we can report its success. Councils can promote this early next year to encourage more youth participation and growth. Youth interest continues to grow for our Substance Abuse Awareness Poster Contest, as more council participation forms were received. The Essay’s contest topic was “The Importance of Religious Freedom.” This year only a minimal amount of councils participated in this contest. We continue to face competition in schools with other essay contests and have to find new ways of promoting this in the future. Please send me your success stories, pictures and suggestions, as we could use these to improve and promote our future youth programs. The success of these programs depends on all of us working as a TEAM. Thank you for a job well done and for your continued support for our Youth Programs.
