GO BIG
OR GO
HOME
Every year the BIG5
Sport Challenge grows
in popularity and it’s
not hard to see why.
Whether you cycle and
run through the forests
or swim in the lagoon,
you’ll be sure to test
your sporting stamina.
The BIG5 Sport
Challenge is without
a doubt the sporting
event of the year.
DON’T
DEHYDRATE
Your body is made
up of 65% water
and losing just 2%
of that can lead to
organ failure. If you
loose a lot of uids
and salts during
exercise which aren’t
quickly replaced, your
body actually starts
to dry up. Signs of
dehydration include
disorientation, fatigue,
nausea, headache
and muscle cramps.
SATURDAY 2 JULY
Momentum Weekend Argus Knysna Cycle Tour
80km MTB Race Probably the highlight of this race is that the route includes
access to sections of privately owned property usually closed to the public.
You’ll be pushed to the limit while riding through scenic farmland areas and
beautiful forest. Enjoy the natural fauna and ora of the Garden Route and
test your off-road cycling skills to the max.

TIPS TO STAYING
HYDRATED
1 Plan ahead and
carry extra water.
Make sure you top
up at water stations
on the route.
You naturally lose
about 10 cups
of water through
sweating or urinating;
this increases
when you exercise.
2 Wear lightcoloured and loosefitting clothing
if you can.
