SANParks Enchanted Forest The Knysna Honorary Rangers have introduced an ‘Enchanted Educational Forest’ to create awareness of the local indigenous forest. You can expect live sound effects and visuals of animals and birds, along with a display of the estuary’s marine life. There will be 45-minute sessions starting on the hour on 1, 2, 3, 8 and 9 July at the Festival Pavilion. The Casper Kids Adventure Run in partnership with Simola Youngsters will be racing in their age groups (6 to 12 years) in this specially designed adventure and exploration trail on 2 July. The entertainment doesn’t sto hen the i s finish ea h hil ill receive a ‘Busy Sprogs Activity Pack’ and will be looked after in a safe and warm environment with activities to keep them busy. Comfy running shoes are compulsory. The Simola Phantom – Night Forest Run make a cool art piece. The best art pieces in each category will win a prize. The Simola Phantom presented by Ledlenser is guaranteed to stimulate all your senses. Not only will you run on a dark New Moon lit night with the illumination of your Ledlenser Headlamp, but you’ll also hear the ‘voices of the forest’ performed by local opera singers. The singers will be scattered throughout the forest, singing arias and songs from different operas. Get your entry and we’ll see you there on 2 July. The Momentum Health Oatwell DualX powered by PeptoPro The popular off-road run-bike-run series offers the best of both trail running and mountain biking combined with a fun-forthe-whole-family appeal on 7 July. Artful Waste Challenge Team up (kids only or in family teams) and clean-up the estuary on 6 July o ’ll finish at the a tent where you’ll use what you’ve collected to Featherbed Opera Cruise This addition to the Festival’s entertainment line-up is bound to entertain you with performances by 10 Knysna’s very own opera and vocal acts (Afro Quartez and Shazza Greef), while cruising around the Lagoon aboard the Featherbed Company’s Paddle Cruiser. The ticket price includes a light dinner. Board the Paddle Cruiser at 17:30 on 7 July for a truly magical experience. MMM! Live Music Fest Mitchell’s Music Marathon, the o fi ial a te a t o the Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival, will keep you entertained with live music, good food and lots of fun on 9 July at the Mitchell’s Brewery BrewPub.
