Rules and Requirements : These scholarships are for college-bound teens in grades 9th-12th . The scholarships do not require specific test scores , GPA , or class ranking . Parents can also register but will need to designate a student to receive the award . In order to be awarded the scholarship , you must be a current C2C eNews subscriber at the time of the drawing . The deadline is May 4 , 2020 . Alabama students are automatically entered to win both the $ 500 and $ 1,000 scholarships . The winner of each scholarship will be notified via email the day after the scholarship deadline and given 72 hours to respond after being contacted . Scholarship winner must designate where to send the scholarship to within 90 days of winning . Failure to respond will result in the selection of another winner . The winner will be announced on social media and in our “ Countdown to College ” ( C2C ) newsletter .
