Or , take a trip to Jackson Lake Island . Enjoy the winding hiking trails , a plethora of resident goats and even an old movie set . This island is the ultimate scene for embracing the outdoors . There ’ s plenty to see and do from kayaking and fishing to camping . Then , of course , there is the “ Town of Spectre ” from Tim Burton ’ s Big Fish where you can find the abandoned set and its very own herd of goats .
If you want to spend your day outside but not in the woods , hit up The Rex — a unique food truck park & outdoor entertainment venue — Open from Thursday-Sunday with different food vendors , specials , and live performers nightly . Spend your free time on the 18-hole scenic golf course at The Pines Golf Club which features 6,318 yards of golf . Not a golfer ? Take a swing at one of the six lighted fields and batting cages at The Mill Creek Sports Complex , a 30-acre multi-purpose baseball / softball facility .

Grill out at Minnie Massey Park or take your pre-made lunch outside and set up under the covered pavilion at Legacy Park . Eat by the water fountain in Robinson Springs Park , or , if you prefer some shade , pick a spot under their gazebo instead !
