Rep from * to 2 sts from end of row, k2. (You now have 82 sts). Next row (WS): Purl all sts. Bind off all sts. Don't worry if this piece takes you longer to do than the stockinette piece that we knitted for the back. Cable stitches require more time (and yarn!) to create the same width of fabric than plain stockinette stitch does. But the result is too pretty to pass up! Cabled stitches, even basic ones, are very decorative and eye catching. The honeycomb pattern is one of the ver y enchanting knitting patterns, beautiful for its texture, uniform and visually soothing. KNITmuch | issue 2 55
