Spread over two phases, Elan-e-Yudh comprised of 12 different sports namely - Ring Football, Throwball, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Squash, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Athletics, Chess, Arm Wrestling, Tug of War and Carrom. “Sports does not build character. They reveal it”, Heywood Campbell Broun, one of America's renowned journalists once quoted about sports. Another famous sports journalist Howard Cowell described sports as “human life in microcosm”. A total of 18 classes comprising of both the seniors and juniors participated with full gusto during the course of the event. At the end, a consistent run of performances in multiple disciplines helped PGDM-A Juniors bag the overall Winners Trophy along with the tag of “Sports Champions of SIMSR”. The runners-up Trophy was won by PGDM-IB Seniors who missed out on the Championship by a whisker. The third-place went to PGDM-IB Juniors. Over the years, the significance of sports as a medium that teaches essential life skills has grown in stature. And more so in a place like KJ SIMSR, which has been a strong proponent of developing students holistically, the presence of sports in the academic calendar has remained a prerequisite.
