cumen kicked off the new trimester with
HeadRush, a general quiz with Anurag Yelkur
donning the quizmaster's hat. His questions are
always crackable and the number of "aha"
moments just keeps on increasing as the quiz goes
along.
This time too, there was amazing participation from
SIMSR with as many as 60 teams turning up for the
prelims event. The prelims round format was a
spin-off to the well-received format that Acumen
had tried out in Quiz Wiz. After 35 brilliant
questions, 6 teams were selected with many teams
missing the cut with a single point.

The finalists were an equal measure of juniors and
seniors and it set up for a crackling contest. The
finals introduced many new and exciting formats of
quizzing like Pounce and Infinite Bounce which had
all the participants literally at the edge of their
seats. Finally after many intense rounds of
quizzing, Bhaskar Kumar and Aakanksha Vats
emerged as the winners while Satyajit Gahana and
Binit Sinha were the runners up.
This was Anurag Yelkur's second quiz and as
promised was even better than his quiz last year.
This certainly proved to be an event every quizzing
enthusiast would cherish.
