Donate Blood

K.J Somaiya institute of Management Studies and Research conducted a “BLOOD DONATION” camp on
10th of September, 2014. All the students, faculty and staff members participated voluntarily in the camp. In
total, 50 units of blood were collected. This camp helped students generate awareness about their social
responsibilities and they participated enthusiastically. The camp was jointly organized by “Enactus
Somaiya Social Cell" and “K.J Somaiya Hospital, Sion, Mumbai" in the SIMSR Boys Hostel under the
supervision of Dr Pradnya Kulkarni and Professor Asha Bhatia (Chairperson, Enactus Somaiya Social
Cell).
The camp was organized in a methodical manner and the participants' health and comforts were seen to
with thorough procedures and refreshments after blood donation. Student volunteers, under the guidance
of Somaiya Hospital staff, helped the participants and gave moral support to students for donating blood.
The non-teaching staff of Somaiya also donated blood which was a huge motivation to the students.
