Helping families realise their education dreams When Alison and Aiden enrolled their children in ASG Education Programs New Zealand (ASG) way back in 1998 it was all about ensuring their girls had a good education. “All we knew,” says Alison “was that we had enough for the girls when they start post-secondary studies.” Growing up in rural New Zealand meant the girls had to leave home when they pursued post-secondary studies. And, this is what convinced Alison and Aiden of the need to commit early to their children’s education. Alison and Aiden heard about ASG from another ASG member, and also did their own research. They were very impressed with the feedback, and later the Counsellor presentation. And, now that the girls are doing post-secondary studies, all those years of putting money aside for their education has been worthwhile. Elder daughter Emma will be completing her Bachelor of Teaching degree this year. “With the earthquake in Christchurch last year it was hard for Emma to complete her course, as the university was closed most of the time,” said Alison. “But she’s working from home now, and should complete the balance papers soon.” Win $20,000 towards * your child’s education No matter what your child wants to be, ASG can help you get them there. Younger daughter Sophie recently won the bronze for New Zealand in U-23 World Rowing championship in Lithuania. This was Sophie’s first international appearance in this category. Along with rowing fulltime and representing her country, Sophie is also studying to be a personal trainer and doing a business diploma. However, she’s taken a deferral this year, so that she can concentrate on her rowing. Whenever I’ve called up ASG to enquire about any issues, the person on the other side has been very helpful. Also the money that we got back has helped a great deal. For Emma it meant she could stay away from home and do her degree. And, for Sophie, the scholarship benefit has helped her with her extracurricular activities. Thank you for everything, ASG.” About ASG Education Programs New Zealand ? For the past 23 years, ASG has been helping New Zealand families create educational opportunities for their children. ?
