WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT RACING OVERSEAS ? I love traveling all over the world and making friends everywhere I go .
WHAT ’ S THE HARDEST PART OF RACING OVERSEAS ?
The amount of laps in a race is a hard thing to wrap your head around , took me a few races to understand how to deal with that .
HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET A NEW BIKE ? I have one race bike which gets rebuilt at 20 hours and one practice bike which gets rebuilt at 40 hours . My mechanic works on my race bike and any motor work on my practice bike , but all the other maintenance I do myself on my practice bike .
HOW OFTEN DO YOU RIDE ? I ride three to five times a week depending on what races are coming up / weather etc . I usually have motos anywhere from 10 minutes to one hour . I also like to do drills to mix it up , something like 10 minutes no rear brake or five minutes standing up only .
HOW DO YOU TRAIN ? My coach Geoff is a great dude , he understands that I like to keep training fun . A typical week will consist of a lot of cycling , usually 100-150km a week , or running , or rowing depending on what ’ s coming up . I lift weights on Tuesdays and Thursdays . Yoga for recovery .
DO YOU HAVE A DIET TO FOLLOW ? My coach makes me get a hair follicle test every three months to make sure my vitamin and mineral levels are all in balance . I train hard so I eat a lot of lean meats and complex carbohydrates , try to stay away from high fat
