MV AGUSTA F3RR - NEW AERO AND MORE FOR 2022

MV Agusta ’ s F3 Supersport can now fly along with the best of them , thanks to new updates to the Italian screamer . Headlining the new updates is a new aerodynamics package capable of producing 8kg of downforce from the fairing mounted winglets , an updated 147hp inline-3 engine and new electronics . Those new aerodynamic appendages that make up the sides of the fairing are made of forged carbon fibre and , according to MV Agusta , are able to generate a load of 8kg on the front end when the bike is at its top speed of 240km / h . The aero tweaks don ’ t end there , however . The F3RR features a taller screen and the revised fairing sides are designed to direct air around and over the rider . The front mudguard is also designed to ram as much air as possible through the radiator to aid in the cooling of the 800cc triple . The electronics are sorted thanks to Italian firm e-Novia with their new proprietary IMU taking the reigns . That means the F3RR boasts all the expected rider aids including cornering ABS , lean-sensitive traction control , slide control , wheelie control and launch control . There ’ s even cruise control for those masochists who like taking their supersport touring ( you know who you are !). There ’ s also Bluetooth connection to pair your phone to the new 5.5 inch TFT dash . The chassis hasn ’ t missed out on updates either , with the frame around the swingarm pivot point now stiffened while the rear wheel has been lightened to achieve 7 % less inertia . MV will also offer the F3RR with an optional race kit , which boosts power to 151hp thanks to a new race ECU and Akrapovic exhaust . It also removes the unnecessary road legal bits like the rear mudguard and number plate holder in a tidy manner as per MV ’ s “ motorcycle art ” ethos . No word yet on New Zealand availability or pricing at this stage , but expect it to come at a premium .
