POWER ADVENTURES LAUNCHES DIRT ANGELS

A

new initiative to bring more women into the dirt community is set to launch this December , with a strong “ no guys ” rule in place to ensure a fun and non-intimidating experience for all involved . Run by the experienced team behind Power Adventures , Dirt Angels is launching its first event on Saturday , December 4 at Pongakawa Trail Park , followed by a two-day camp in March 2022 . The aim of Dirt Angles is simple ; to foster riding for women riders . While riding has traditionally been dominated by guys , women are becoming more involved with over 350 now holding competition licences in New Zealand and many more riding non-competitively . The Dirt Angels is a female-only concept where male riders are not allowed along . In fact , there is promised to be only five guys in attendance in critical support roles for the event . Such is the enthusiasm , several prominent ladies have committed their time and energy to get Dirt Angels up and running . With a lot of ladies intimidated at trail rides , let alone competition , Dirt Angels aim to create an environment free of anxiety to help women riders improve their skills and enjoy a weekend on the trails . The Women ’ s Commissioner for Motorcycling New Zealand will also attend on Saturday evening to let riders know how easy it is to be involved and what fun is available .
Station on March 12-13 , 2022 . Lochinver Station is a magnificent facility that has 10 flushing toilets and eight proper showers in the shearers quarters next to the camping paddock and is just 30 minutes from Taupo . There is the option of staying in town in a motel or camping with the rest of the girls . There will be mechanical workshops , seminars on health and exercise , talks on riding tips and tricks , coaching and even bike loading on trailers and utes . And it is all included in the one entry fee . As with the overall philosophy of Dirt Angels , riders aren ’ t required to do any particular activity , you can watch , participate or just go riding . It is really up to you .
