TWO NEW DUCATI SCRAMBLERS FOR 2022

The second of Ducati ’ s online world premiers for its 2022 model range focused on two new models for the Scrambler Ducati family . The first , the Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro , is designed to pay homage to the iconic Ducati air-cooled twin-cylinder engine , which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year after its original 1971 debut , while the funky Scrambler Urban Motard is aimed at attracting ever-younger riders to the Ducati family . Set to arrive in New Zealand dealers in the second quarter of 2022 ( between April and June ), the two new Scramblers are priced at $ 19,595 for the Scrambler Urban Motard and $ 22,295 for the Scrambler Tribute Pro . As the name suggests , the Scrambler Tribute Pro joins the established 1100cc Pro range and features the same 1079cc engine . Claimed power figures are 86hp of power at 7500rpm and a torque value of 90Nm at 4750rpm For the Tribute Pro , Ducati ’ s designers were inspired by iconic Ducati elements of the 1970s , such as the special “ Giallo Ocra ” livery , the Ducati logo of the time designed by Giugiaro , and the spoked wheels , which are black and integrate perfectly with the tones of the celebratory livery . Further distinctive stylistic details are represented by the circular rear-view mirrors and the brown seat with dedicated stitching . The Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard , on the other hand , is powered by Ducati ’ s 803cc L-twin engine with desmodromic distribution . This delivers 73hp of power at 8250rpm and 65Nm of torque at 5750rpm , with Ducati claiming the bike offers brilliant performance that never becomes intimidating for the rider . Leaning into the Motard name , the Urban Motard comes equipped with 17-inch spoked wheels at both ends ( rather than the traditional 19 / 17 combo ), a high front mudguard , flat seat and side number plates , all of which are perfectly integrated into the Ducati Scrambler design . Colour options include Star White Silk and Ducati GP ‘ 19 Red and come complete with exclusive graphics inspired by the world of street art and metropolitan graffiti . Ducati has chosen to equip all Ducati and Scrambler Ducati models with Cornering ABS , which guarantees high levels of safety even when braking with the bike at an angle . The models are also designed for the Ducati Multimedia System ( DMS ), which enables a smartphone to be connected to the bike via Bluetooth , while the USB socket positioned under the seat is standard .
