The Le Mans seemed the obvious next step for Moto Guzzi . It was first seen at the Milan Show of 1975 , and remained in production , in a variety of guises , until the early 1990 ’ s , when it was hailed as the last of the 1970s Superbikes .
A V8 MOTORCYCLE Perhaps the most intriguing Guzzi design of all is the 500cc V8 of the mid-1950s . It ’ s doubtful that anyone in this country ever
expected to see and hear this remarkable piece of engineering . Then , almost 50 years later , I wrote the following “ On a fine day at the 2003 Classic Festival at Pukekohe the bike burst into life ready for a track demonstration , ridden by road and offroad celebrity Sammy Miller .
