standard fare with everyone else catching up . Dare I say it … it could be upgrade time . It ’ s kinda the same story with the rear brake . It works well , but it ’ s not classleading either . Overall , the 220mm disc and single piston Magura caliper brake lacks the positive feel of the Japanese brands which have larger 240mm discs . But the smaller disc size makes it less vulnerable to rock damage , so there are certainly pluses and minuses to be considered . Also , I found the brake pedal to be a bit flexy , which no doubt contributes to a less positive rear brake feel . So yes , a decent rear brake , but not excellent . So , this leaves us with a very capable enduro bike that is a joy to ride in all conditions , and one that is very close to perfect . It ’ s no coincidence that the TE300i is the choice machine for elite extreme enduro riders the world . Unusually , the very same reasons that make this bike fabulous for elite riders , also make it fantastic for trail riders .
