slipper clutch , and a primary gear-driven clutch . Euro 5 standards are surpassed too . The steel double-downtube cradle frame was designed from scratch with chassis builders Harris Performance , and it would need a lot more testing than I was given to discover if it ’ s as good as it should be . The bike sports 41mm conventional forks and the brakes are from ByBre ( ByBrembo , get it ?) with a single 320mm disc up front , and a 240mm rear . All in all I ’ d say the sheer numbers of these being sold would acknowledge that quality and performance issues are a thing of the past , and some of the livery choices offered are nothing short of spectacular . I particularly like the shimmery chrome tank version , but it may be at a bit of a premium price wise . The Continental GT 650 has a legendary name , and the new delivery ensures that that status is going to be well earned and will stick around for a long time to come .
It just bloody looks like a motorcycle , classic and appealing , masculine , sporty and adventurous in ‘ old school ’ ways . And those looks mirror your feelings when you ride the GT , you simply cannot say better than that . Looks , performance , and budget - delivering fun and thrills , who the hell needs frills ?
