Competitors should possibly have spared a thought for this man . Te Puke ’ s Flynn Watts was obviously one of the fastest riders in the 12-14 years ’ 125cc class at the event at Tect Park and that was even after a horrific crash on day one of competition ( Friday )… and he didn ’ t finish that race . He had his sprained wrist cased in ice , but still gritted his teeth and put that aside to line up in his next race … which he won . He left his ice bag behind in the pits to win race three too ! Finally the pain got to him and he settled for runner-up in race four . The Alpinestars-backed KTM rider wrapped up his weekend with a third placing and this was enough to earn him third overall for the championships . Legend . Actually , his feat was recognised with Watts receiving the MNZ motocross commissioner ’ s award for sportsmanship .
