DUCATI PANIGALE V4

Faster , easier to use and less tiring . That is the word on what to expect from the 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 and V4S with the brand from Borgio Panigale revealing the refreshed superbike during the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan . For 2022 , the Panigale V4 gets improvements across the board with revised aerodynamics , ergonomics , engine and electrics . The result , according to Ducati , is an even faster bike on the racetrack and at the same time more intuitive and less tiring for a wide range of riders . At a glance , it ’ s not particularly easy to tell the 2021 and the 2022 Panigale V4 apart , but there are a few small touches that are expected to make a notable difference . The fairing now integrates more compact and thinner doubleprofile design wings with increased efficiency while the lower part of the fairing features what Ducati calls redesigned “ extraction sockets ” ( or gills / vents to us ) which improve the cooling system and , as a consequence , the performance of the engine , in particular during racetrack days . Ergonomics have been tweaked with the aim of improving the control of the bike during track sessions and to allow the rider to get the most out of the Panigale V4 ’ s performance , both on a single lap and heavy use on the track .

The seat has been flattened in shape and features a different coating , to further support the rider when braking and allow easier movement of the body while the fuel tank has a new shape in the rear portion to allow the rider to better anchor when braking . The heart of the bike is , of course , the 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale which has undergone a series of updates for increase of power together with instant throttle response . Power is up to 215.5hp at 13,000rpm while max torque of 123.6Nm comes in at 9500rpm thanks to better lubrication , new ECU mapping and a larger diameter exhaust outlet . Power can be bumped up further to 228hp with Ducati ’ s racing exhaust . Ducati has also changed the gearbox ratios for 2022 with a longer ratio on first , second and sixth gears for a more racing-oriented gearing . As a result , top speed is up 5km / h over the 2021 Panigale V4 . Keeping the Panigale V4 in contact with the road is a 43mm fully-adjustable Showa Big Piston Fork ( BPF ), Sachs steering damper , Sachs monoshock also fully adjustable and cast aluminium rims with a 5-spoke design . The V4S ups the ante with Öhlins suspension and even more advanced track-tuned electronics .
