Popular Waikato motorsport park , Hampton Downs , has announced that it – along with other Tony Quinn owned facilities – will be operating this summer under the government ’ s new traffic light system . On Friday December 3 , 2021 , New Zealand moved to the new ‘ Covid-19 Protection Framework ’, commonly known as the traffic light system . In a statement , Hampton Downs outlined what this means for eventgoers and participants alike . “ To meet our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and to protect our team members , customers , and the ongoing viability of our businesses , Highlands , Hampton Downs , and both Game Overs are implementing the traffic light system , which will require the My Vaccine Pass . In short , this legally requires every single person over the age of 12 years and 3 months , coming on site to show an official ‘ My Vaccine Pass ’.” From Friday December 3 , 2021 , everyone aged over 12 years and 3 months will be legally required to present a ‘ My Vaccine Pass ’ for verification at any of the above facilities . This is in addition to signing in for contact tracing purposes . If you do not already have a ‘ My Vaccine Pass ’, you can get one from the My Covid Record website run by the Ministry of Health ( https :// mycovidrecord . health . nz /). Those who can ’ t be vaccinated can also get a “ My Vaccine Pass ” if they have an official medical exemption . “ We are committed to getting as many people back over all aspects of our parks , with as many mates as they want , as often as they like , no matter what part of NZ they are from , as soon as we possibly can .”
