2022 KTM 50 SX FACTORY EDITION
KTM ’ s hotted-up kids bike is back as a 2022 edition , with the first examples of the new kid in town set to arrive in local dealers in October . Priced at $ 7375 the 2022 50SX Factory Edition holds a $ 1376 premium over the base 50 SX , but junior riders get a lot of cool extras for their parent ’ s money . Included in the Factory Edition is not only the Factory Team inspired graphics kit , but useful additions including an FMF exhaust , blue gripper seat and CNC machined clutch and ignition covers . The 50SX Factory also ships with a smaller rear sprocket and different carb settings than the base model to give it an extra boost .
When KTM first released the 50 SX Factory Edition last year , Motorcycling New Zealand homologated the bikes for the 6 to 8-year-old 50 class and , at the same time , agreed that any parts on the Factory Edition , such as the exhaust system , are also allowed to be fitted to stock models to keep a level playing field . With KTM ’ s sister brands Husqvarna and GasGas also offering their own versions of the KTM 50SX package , KTM NZ says the same Factory Edition parts allowance also actually applies to the Husqvarna and Gasgas 50s too .
