TRIUMPH MALVERN GLOVES

B ack in the middle of last winter Triumph sent us a set of its Malvern Gore-tex gloves to try . What ’ s interesting about this pair of gloves is it ’ s a two-in-one affair with one hand pocket for outright warmth and another for more handlebar and lever feel , effectively giving a glove for all riding from Autumn through to Spring . Pocket entry one is the ‘ warm ’ glove , and the other is the ‘ tactile ’ glove . So , in warmer conditions the thick lining is on the top of your fingers , giving better lever and throttle feel . In really cold conditions you pop your hands into the warm pocket for full insulation . A friend had been wearing pair of these for all season commuting and raved about them , so I was keen to see if two gloves in one can be a thing .

GORETEX TWO-IN-ONE Triumph has used top quality materials in the Malvern gloves . The underside of the gloves is goat leather , while the upper / back of the hand is fabric . Gore-tex Two-in-One makes up the inner . I ’ ve tried many a membrane over the years in a mix of gloves , boots and riding suits . There are a lot of waterproof membranes out there , but they ’ re not all equal . I ’ ve learnt over the years that when I see the Gore-tex label they ’ ll actually be waterproof , and probably for many years . Sometimes it ’ s just worth shelling out for quality - Gore-tex is one of those things .
LIKES AND DISLIKES This is a warm pair of gloves , with the ‘ warm ’ pocket living up to the name . They feel like a
