Being a photographer who’s
new to the world of Kite Surfing
I wasn’t sure what to expect on
this trip, sure I’ve photographed
the sport before, but never at
this level of popularity. It goes
without saying that when stood
in the riders pen footsteps
away from some of the
international champions we
know today, I’d be lying if I said
I wasn’t nervous. Positioning
myself at the waters edge
whilst these pros executed
their tricks several feet above
my head challenged my skills
as a sports photographer, but
they didn’t hold back for the
judges, or the camera.
Being at an event like Mondial
Du Vent has such a big
impact on my career as a
photographer, however when
you travel across France in
a the back of pimped out VW
van with three other crazy kite
surfers, there isn’t much to talk
