the kite to help you to make the turns and
the kite bar to help you hold your balance.
What I’m doing now with the new kites
(skinny boy), is to make my kitesurfing
as close as possible to the way I surf.
The new kite has a really good drift that
makes it so you don’t have to worry about
the kite falling all the time, and it has
great depower so you can adjust in big
bottom turns, top turns, and especially in
big waves without the kite pulling you out
of where you want to be.”
The location he had chosen is exactly
what Stephan is looking for, good in the
morning for surfing, and world class in
the afternoon for kiting. Often the wind
will shut off before sunset allowing for
yet another surf session. The waves are
powerful, and raw. The wind is moody
and unpredictable but having defined
reef breaks to ride both surfing and kiting
- bringing the two sports that much closer
together. There are not many places on
earth that allow a surfer/kiter to spend
this much time on the water. It’s better for
all of us if you figure out where it is on
your own. If you do decide to make the

you who is boss.
