Tabuba - This is the biggest lagoon I went
to on my trip and had some of my best
sessions there. It’s a great spot but has a
few rocks dotted around the lagoon and
can also be shallow in some places unlike
Caupie or Taiba. The water is pretty flat
around the edges of the lagoon but
due to the size and the fact that it’s
quite busy you do get some chop in the
middle but nothing that you can’t handle.
Wind can be gusty there as well, but is
normally pretty good and will stay pretty
much all day. The biggest downside is
that all the local kiters come there at
the weekend which when you add in
the tourists it can become really busy.
It’s pretty average for both directions of
riding with really flat water at the edges.
Taiba - When the wind was looking light
in Cumbuco I headed North in search
of stronger winds and a less crowded
