A monochromatic black and white color palette is one of the most versatile options for a home exterior . This simple , modern scheme creates the perfect foundation for a wide variety of design styles , allowing you to express your personality in your accessories and mix it up as your tastes change over time !
For this recent project , a black and white color scheme was the perfect choice , but it was anything but boring ! The first selection was siding . We chose Mitten ’ s easy to install West Ridge Luxury Vinyl Siding in Frost . West Ridge offers the beauty of wood siding without the maintenance and comes in wide 8 ” planks which give the home a more contemporary feel !
Next , we wanted to add texture and visual interest to the front of the house . To do this , we started with the main front gable where we showcased a stunning color matched NovikShake RS8 in Frost . This Canadian-made product is a low maintenance alternative to cedar shake that is durable and easy to install .
Our final siding selection was the NovikStone Artisan Cut in Castle . The mix of black and gray tones in the stone help pull the colors together while also adding dimension and natural texture to the exterior of the home . The MYSTIQUE shingles , in Shadow Black from BP Canada , also repeat this shades of gray theme .
For the finishing touches , we chose to ground the space with black Ply Gem doors , windows and trim . We selected triple-glazed Ply Gem windows that will ensure the home remains warm and draft-free all year long .
