Eat, drink, be merry – and buy all your gifts at our festive late night opening!
NOTE TO ELF
C
hristmas is by far our busiest time of year, both
in our shop and online. As soon as the shop gets
bedecked with seasonal decorations the countdown
to the big day begins.
One of the highlights in this run-up is our late night
opening event. This year’s event takes place on Thursday
8th December. Nothing gets you in the festive spirit better
than listening to carols played by the local town band
while nibbling on a mince pie and sipping mulled wine.
It’s the perfect time to get your gifts for the whole family.
Whether you are looking at presents for coffee lovers,
wine lovers, bakers or cooks, we’ve got all the bases
covered. Recipe books, kitchen appliances, knives and cake
decorations all make great presents too. It’s also a good
time to stock up on extra equipment ready for Christmas
dinner – gravy jugs, carving trays, roasting pans etc. If you
are entertaining over the Christmas period, make sure you
have enough glasses, cutlery, plates and napkins. There are
also lots of other non-cooking gift ideas available in-store.
DIY dads (and mums) are well catered for in our trade and
decorating departments and fashion conscious mums are
easy to buy for in our extensive clothing department that
includes leading brands Joules and Seasalt.
Finally, as well as being able to buy your Christmas
tree from the garden shop opposite, we stock an amazing
selection of tree and room decorations to add the finishing
touches to your home, plus cards, wrapping paper and the
all-important Sellotape.
Head into Harts on Thursday 8th December for carols, mulled wine
and mince pies while you find presents to fill foodie stockings.

COOL RUNNINGS
H
arts of Stur are proud sponsors of the New
Year’s Day Vintage and Classic Vehicle Run.
Organised by members of the Weymouth
Vehicle Preservation Society, the run raises
valuable money for the Dorset and Somerset Air
Ambulance. Starting in the town’s car park, the
run takes in a gentle 35 mile route through the
beautiful Dorset countryside and finishes at a
nearby hostelry. Fingers crossed for fine weather,
as the last few years have been pretty wet!
