Platform for Digital
Signage Networks
BrightSign LLC has announced the new
BSN.cloud – a robust player-management
platform driven by BrightSign OS 8.0 –
the commercial-grade operating system
purpose-built for digital signage. Within
the Control Cloud level, the B-Deploy
feature enables complete configuration
of players remotely, dramatically reducing
install times and making player setup
or provisioning an almost automatic
process.
Large-scale rollouts are greatly
simplified via new options for automat-
ically setting up large groups of players
simultaneously. And for small-scale
rollouts, a new on-screen setup process
utilises QR codes for easy player setup
via mobile phone. The Control Cloud also
includes access to view real-time health
information of the player and the ability
to change configurations and deploy
operating system updates in real-time
without having to ever physically interact
with the player.

Cloud is a data-driven cloud service
that delivers a complete set of digital
signage network management tools to
the end-user. It collects and stores data
about performance measures that are
important to network managers.

Just the ticket for India’s newest metro
Travellers on India’s newest
Metro system, in the Northern
city of Lucknow, are buying
travel tokens through Zytronic
projected capacitive touch sensors.
Mikroelektronika, a Czech kiosk
specialist, is supplying 84 touch-
enabled kiosks using Zytronic touch
sensors to the network.

touch assemblies including 1cm
toughened glass for protection.
The modules are controlled by the
ZXY100. Travellers can purchase
RFID tokens for travel using coins,
notes, contactless or PIN-enabled
credit cards through the kiosks.
The touch modules supplied work
reliably in the very high summer
temperatures of up to 40°C
encountered in Lucknow.
Mikroelektronika supplies
ticketing kiosks based on Zytronic
projected capacitive touch
technology to transport networks
throughout the world. Successful
installations based on Zytronic
sensors include over 200 machines
for the Swedish national railway
network, 30 machines in La Paz
(Bolivia) as well as installations in
Prague (The Czech Republic); Lima,
(Peru); Klaipeda (on the coast of
Lithuania) and Sofia (Bulgaria).
Lucknow Metro in the northern
Indian state of Uttar Pradesh began
commercial operation over 8.5km
on 5 September 2017. Once Phase
1 is completed, the Lucknow Metro
will have two lines with a total
length of 33km.
