Timeline of a Wonderful Life 1961. Janice born 23 April 1961 at St Helens Public Hospital Auckland to Patricia (Pat) Lorna Huia (nee Davis) and Tote Edward (Ted) Rameka of 39 Titoki Street Parnell. - Ted and Pat are of the Ngapuhi tribe. 1967. Attended Oranga Primary School, Te Papa, Auckland followed by Mangere Secondary College. 1969. Family lived in Solent Street Mangere from 1969 to 1984. 1970s to 1985. Avid sports player throughout her college years and continued after leaving college. Played in Auckland Representative Netball and Basketball for many years. Team member of the Manukau Rovers which were in the first NZ recognised Women’s Rugby competition in the early 1980s. Played softball for Mt Roskill. 1985. Came to Australia. 1988. Met Michael while working for the Victoria WorkCover Authority. Romance blossomed a few years later. 1993. Moved into 1 Cavendish Street Geelong. 1995. Married Michael on 29 April 1995 in New Zealand. Ceremony held at Ted and Pats residence in Lamb Road Pukenui RD 4 Kaitaia. 1996. Janice and Michael have their first son Eric Edward Laurence. 1997. Janice and Michael have their second son Michael Thomas. 1998. Moved into family home at 247 Bellerine street Geelong. Over the next 20 years Janice and Michael raised their boys and Janice was always involved with Community sporting groups (especially basketball ), school and charity events. Janice was always known for her cooking, her warmth, contagious laugh and friendly nature towards everyone.
