Kingdom Connection Devotional - Week 1 MONDAY | Page 3

The bible then tells us He looked at everything He made, called it very good and rested on the 7th day from all his work which He had made. But all of this was new and it was a new beginning.

While scripture does provide multiple settings for us to learn about God residing in Heaven, His interactions with angels, including Lucifer and the fallen angels, God decided to do a new thing. His eternal Kingdom was not where He wanted things to end. His eternal Kingdom was not the last thing on His to-do list. His eternal Kingdom was incomplete with whom He wanted to share it with so therefore something NEW was done about it.

He created an entire world with new creatures. No matter how glorious heaven and all of His angelic beings were before Him, He decided it was time for something new. It was time a for a new beginning. It was time for new creations. It was time for a new world.

If we were God, we would probably would have left well enough alone. When we have what we consider the best, we espouse 'if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it'. If we were God, the angels would have been plenty or we would have just created more. But we must always remember His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8). God is huge, He is expansive beyond our imaginations and that my friends is good news for us. That’s how we came into existence. That’s how we now have the opportunity to spend our eternity with Him in His presence. All because God decided to do something NEW!

God values new. God is the author of new. God establishes new and upholds new. He doesn’t start new beginnings and let them just unravel. He doesn’t start new beginnings and let the chips fall where they may. He is always in control and is manifesting His desired will as King of the universe.

My goal this week is to simply show you how amazing the new can be. It is to open your eyes to how the new can altar and begin a course of life. It is to encourage you to get excited about this NEW Year, especially if you are connected with the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Behold He IS doing a new thing, and I want you to know all about it. And with this being said, let us pray:

Dear God,

we bless and honor You. We glorify You for who You are and all that You are doing. We thank You dear Lord for allowing us to be a part of what it is You are doing, saying and wanting manifested in the earth realm today. Your word teaches us to pray Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. There are a plethora of new things that you desire to be done, implemented and established. Today we come before You seeking Your will and Your way. We ask that you use us to bring in Your new things and to empower us to make Your name great so that not only we embrace and enjoy the new but many others will too. These are the things we ask in Jesus' holy name. Amen & Amen!
